extract from the catalogue: 'South West Artists Now', Bunbury Regional Art Galleries, WA
SQUARE 10 is a work made up of 10 consecutive squares, constructed of 10 X 30 CM plywood panels, and the resultant formed hollow 40 CM squares are filled with coloured panels.
The presentation of this work is intentionally incomplete. Rather than present the 10 squares in a defined pattern, there are [almost] missing components to the puzzle - with inplied invitation for the viewer to reorder and replace.
The colours selected and used for this work are an intutitive play on the spectrum.
